Full Circle

From the path that seemed almost premeditated by something larger than the narrow purple car we drove in, to the traits in the hue of the green lights that told us to proceed. The affinity felt with observing with eyes free of lids and lashes, instances of coincidence... but a new question in our heads, coincidence? chance? Yet a scoff at fate. Each sound I uttered into the night returned to me, my surroundings behaving and reacting to me in ways I had never seen. There was a shift, there was a moment we missed marking that took off our hats and let a realm beyond our mouth's capacity channel into our crowns. Only theories to explain it, but I can tell by the feeling, by the look in my sister's eyes that reflects the stars and sky that something is different. A crack in some ancient door that has had a peephole fixated on us our whole lives long, I've spotted it. The crack between it's edge and frame opening and I, I am withdrawn from my expectancies and drawing forth what cannot be measured.
